Verify live bindings
Read the tutorial or settings labels for throttle, brake, steer, camera, and interact on the device you are using. Close chat/menus so keys do not type into the wrong field.
After UI patches, re-check where the gift button and settings live. Save a one-line note: device + each action label. Re-verify after switching between touch and a controller on the same account.
Three drills
1) Straight brake from moderate speed to a full stop. 2) Wide turn entered already slowed, eyes through the exit. 3) One emergency stop at a safe margin so you know worst-case distance.
Only then raise highway speed. If a new bike feels unstable, return to drill 1 before buying another machine. Log which drill failed when you crash—late brakes and camera loss are different problems.
Platform tips
PC: small steering corrections beat holding full lock. Mobile: leave space around on-screen sticks and lower sensitivity if the bike feels twitchy. If the camera clips a wall, slow until it recovers—do not steer blind.
Stable frame rate helps more than max graphics while learning. Leave extra space in multiplayer; other riders stop without warning. Hide overlays that cover the brake side of the screen if you record or stream.
If controls fail
Not moving? Confirm you are mounted and no shop/code UI is open. Weird steering after cosmetics? Reset to stock and re-test. Wrong place? Verify 12593620250.
Controller drift: check dead zones. Still stuck: rejoin a quieter server—input lag can impersonate heavy steering. After any fix, re-run only the failing drill instead of a full free-roam victory lap.
